My favorite photo I’ve taken of Hadley during the past year. In our backyard on an early fall afternoon as she swung in the tree swing Jason had just hung, giggles escaping with every push. I was playing around with my manual camera settings and something just clicked. I chose the right settings for those exact conditions. Unfortunately I haven’t had a successful photo shoot using manual settings since.
I’ve been disappointed with my picture taking as of late. A few months ago I purchased this book, packing it along on every trip since with good intentions. I’ve made it to page 8. And I need to read my manual thoroughly. If I want to take better photos, I need to make the time to learn.
Today I read this great post written by Andrea at FFFT summarizing what she learned from her recent product photography class. I found it informative and motivating. But I still need to read that manual.
