Breakfast in the Chicken and Reading Mazagines

Over the weekend Carson and I went antiquing in Sellwood. After scouting out adorable bookshelves online in the $500 range, I was on a mission to find one for Hadley’s room with character at a fraction of the cost. And prepared to strip paint and sand if necessary. Shortly after arriving at Stars Carson spotted an off-white one tucked away in a corner. At $48 and freshly painted, it was exactly what I was looking for. After waking from her nap Carson unveiled her surprise and Hadley excitedly unpacked her cardboard box of books and stacked them neatly on the shelves.
