My Favorite Time Of Year

September 7, 2009 by dailygnome Leave a Comment

A rainy forecast and postponed beach trip took us to Hood River and the Fruit Loop for a day trip this weekend. Just our little family of four. A fall chill and puddles meant sweaters and rain boots. But juicy white peaches and late season blueberries told me summer hasn’t closed up shop. Not ready to pack up my tank tops and flips flops just yet. I love this transitional, overlapping time. When my two favorite seasons meet up for a soirée. A going away and welcome party rolled into one where both sweet corn and and fresh peach cobbler are served.
