Keep Calm and Carry On Poster

February 19, 2009 by dailygnome 4 Comments

In England during World War II, the British Government’s Ministry of Information commissioned a series of propaganda posters to be distributed throughout the country offering British citizens reassurance (see an original and read the story here.)

You can purchase vintage reproductions in eight designer colors at this etsy shop.

I want to get one to hang in our stairwell. When Carson is having a meltdown, a client project isn’t going my way, or the coffeemaker is overflowing it’ll remind me to take a deep breath and (in the spot on British accent I can do so well in my head) Keep Calm and Carry On. Chin Up. Have A Spot of Tea!

What a cool sign and reminder for when we go through those “times”. I definitely need one too – I like the “spot of tea”! haha

I just wrote the quote on the chalkboard in our kitchen. Thank you for the inspiration!
