Spring Break in Sunriver

April 3, 2013 by dailygnome 1 Comment

We enjoyed a relaxing week in Sunriver with good friends. Jason scored a house at an auction last year and we split the week up inviting two of our favorite families for a few days each.

Even though the rains came, the sun made an appearance most afternoons.

Family walks along the trails…to the park, the nature center, or just to roam:

Hitting the mountain with his buddy Charlie. Carson has really taken to the sport:

Hadley, not so much. Preferred making snowmen and angels followed by hot chocolate. Thank goodness for Mt. Bachelor’s generous family-friendly ski benefits like under five ski free and the complimentary beginner lift for all:

Legos for all ages back at the homestead while parents sipped cocktails prepared dinner. Once again, hats off the geniuses behind the Swoop Bag:

The outdoor portion of the SHARC Aquatic Center opened each afternoon. The temperatures were surprisingly comfortable {although a dip in the hot tub helped}.

A kids Duck Race took place in the lazy river the morning of our departure. They decked out their ducks the day before with high hopes. Unfortunately, only Carson made it to the final heat {despite intimidating duck names Rainbow and Flower}
