Over the Rooftops and Trees

October 22, 2009 by dailygnome 1 Comment

On a clear autumn afternoon and best friend by his side, he climbed aboard and sailed through the sky, taking in the view of his city.

#34: Eat More Fondue

October 13, 2009 by dailygnome Leave a Comment

In front of a crackling fire with the temperature dropping outside, I rolled up my sleeves and tackled #34 on the list. I think we discovered a new Sunday evening tradition through February.

Daily Gnome in Print

September 23, 2009 by dailygnome 7 Comments

This year #5 on my list was turning this blog into a book. I’d procrastinated on the project anticipating the time involved, so I was on cloud nine to discover Blog2Print developed by SharedBook. It slurped my 308 posts into a beautiful 274 page hard bound book complete with a fancy table of contents and comments in a matter of minutes. Arrived on my doorstep within a week.

Now the kids will have a record of this little blog. Just in case this whole Internet thing ends up being a passing fad.

Framed

September 9, 2009 by dailygnome Leave a Comment

Jason put his carpentry skills to work recently and built a custom frame for Carson’s masterpiece. I usually prefer keeping the edges of the canvas exposed but I think the frame gives the piece a nice finished look.

This is the type of project that Jason really enjoys and gives him the most satisfaction. The ones I don’t ask for or put on a to do list.
