When I began this blog two and a half years ago it was to document Carson’s daily happenings and share them with family and friends. It was all about my little gnome. But I found I loved blogging about things other than just Carson. And over time this little corner of the blogosphere slowly began evolving and changing and taking on a life of its own.
A while ago I debated starting a separate blog for my design business. And then I decided that it didn’t really make sense. I wouldn’t have time to commit to two blogs and give them both the love and attention they deserved. I also realized a lot of what I would write about and feature on a blog at SimplyFine might appeal to readers here. As a result I recently connected my website to daily gnome. I’m a designer and mama who loves to blog and a blogger who loves to write about design and family.
I’ll now be featuring some of my site launches here at daily gnome. I’ve been working on some fun and interesting projects lately that I’m excited to share. Here we go!
A few days ago I launched the ISES Portland website. I really enjoyed this project as it gave me the opportunity to collaborate with two of my favorite people from my Bravo! days. Nice to work with people who already know my style and personality. They were the ideal client and the project practically designed itself. While I love the freedom that comes with working for myself I sometimes miss the camaraderie of an office environment. It felt good to connect with my old coworkers again. And this time around I had an easier commute.
