Where’s My Dish?

June 2, 2009 by dailygnome Leave a Comment

On a balmy afternoon following Carson’s doctor appointment we stopped off on NW 23rd in pursuit of gelato. We stumbled upon Bleuet, specializing in European-style frozen yogurt. I remember reading a write-up in Portland Picks last year but since I don’t get over to Nob Hill as often these days, I hadn’t had a chance to sample it. And they give out some generous samples. Tangy, refreshing. Not your 1980s TCBY. Natural. And a nice alternative to the sweetness of gelato.

Carson and I opted for plain sprinkled with fresh blueberries and maple granola. Jason chose honey topped with fresh strawberries. And Miss Hadley enjoyed numerous bites all around. It was decided: Next visit she’ll be getting her own kiddie regular cup.
