Carson’s library account is delinquent and I’m to blame. I’ve renewed his latest books twice online and they were due yesterday. I hope it won’t affect his FICO score.
I’m usually a stickler for deadlines. I hate being late. And I get irritated when others aren’t on time. So why can’t I return a library book on time?
Fortunately a friend turned me on to Title Waves Used Book Store, located in Northeast Portland and run by Multnomah County Library. Last week I loaded up on a pile of books for Carson, including a couple of Caldecott Medal Winners and didn’t even come close to double digits. Board books for a quarter! AND I supported the local library.
With no late fees.
Annual library sales are great, too! I loaded up on books for my classroom that way.
