I love a good food blog. The photographs of freshly picked asparagus and the perfect quiche inspire me. I admire those who can effortlessly throw together a creative meal and tell you about it in an informative and entertaining way.
So when Carrie, a talented Portland food writer contacted me to design her blog, La Pomme de Portland, I was excited to take on the project. Designing around her beautiful photography and prose made the project all the more enjoyable.
If you’re local, tune in to AM Northwest to watch her monthly segment. Last week during her debut she showed how to make Peas & Pancetta in less than 30 minutes. I picked up a couple of good tips including the time saving have the bakery slice your crusty bread and leftover pasta water makes a wonderful thickening sauce.
