Not Just Along For The Ride

November 8, 2010 by dailygnome 3 Comments

I spent the last two days enjoying uninterrupted girl time with Miss Hadley. Unexpected and spontaneous. Thanks to a generous Nana who suggested the brilliant idea of bringing Carson along on her weekend road trip while J is out of town on business.

We spent the days close to home: Dug our hands in a bit of earth | helped out a neighbor | morning walks to the coffeehouse for raspberry jammers | leaf crunching and puddle jumping | hopscotch | And a play date down the street that was all for her. With baby dolls.

It was exactly what everyone needed. Carson arrived home eager to tell about his own adventures. Hadley seemed to relish the undivided attention. Today the morning routine went virtually flawless. I think we all just needed a little break.

Sounds like a nice weekend with your little angel. Love Hadley's curly, long hair…she is precious. Can't wait to see you all early next year! Kisses and hugs to Carson and Hadley. 🙂
