Living in our little bungalow the past seven years has taught us what we really want when it comes time to buy our next house.
In 2002 we entered a crazy housing market in Portland. If you didn’t make a competitive offer the day a house went up for sale, you didn’t stand a chance.
At the time Jason was traveling nonstop, and I, along with five other potential home owners, had made offers the evening our house went on the market. The first time Jason saw our house was at the inspection. Fortunately it all worked out but next time I’m looking forward to taking our time.
Yesterday design*sponge featured a sneak peak of children’s book author and illustrator Charise Harper’s home. All full of whimsy and fun. Wide plank floors and beautiful light. Room to play. And gather and entertain. Character intact and chalk full of unique details. So many elements I want in our next home. Unfortunately it’s not up for sale and located on the east coast. But isn’t it just lovely. It leaves me feeling inspired:
what a gorgeous house!
