With two budding young artists in the house we have a lot of artwork. Hadley arrives home with a project a day to add to our overflowing art folder. Carson loves to tape up pieces throughout the house for display (we have a lot of blank walls at the moment), but I wanted to find a nice way to showcase their favorites.
I found these colorful frames at IKEA for $2 and during Hadley’s nap last week Carson selected nine finalists to hang in the gallery. We chose a wall in their basement playroom and he even hammered in most of the nails. Then he had the idea of layering Hadley’s flower over one of his watercolors (top right). When Hadley woke up he proudly showed her the wall, explaining how the flower piece was a collaboration. Had, that means we both did it together.
Budding young artists indeed! Beautiful artwork Hadley and good job Carson picking out the pictures and making your little sister so proud! Grammie loves you both soooo much!
Carson and Hadley are so smart and talented! I LOVE your artwork and creativity! – Cousin Christi
I love their artwork! I buy those frames every year for my students – they each have their own frame in which to put their personal art. It helps decorate the room. They look great on your wall! I can't wait to see it in person!
Beautiful curator job! Papa Dave and I need some art for historic Ward House. Perhaps Carson and Hadley can select a couple of their recent pieces for exhibit in New York. 🙂
