Eat Sign

February 7, 2012 by dailygnome 2 Comments

I recently purchased this wooden sign from etsy shop Moda Industria for our kitchen. I loved the heavily distressed look, and modern yet vintage feel. After it arrived I promptly hung it above the entry to our kitchen nook.

Carson noticed it immediately. And now that he’s learning to read the sign piqued his curiosity.

Why does it say EAT up there?

I thought it would be a fun sign for the kitchen. Do you like it?

In case we forget to eat?

It’s just a design. For decoration.

But I already know what to do. I know how to eat. Is it for when babies come over?

Yeah, kids totally don't understand the point of decorations unless it's a holiday decoration. I like your sign. I know it must look perfect in your home. You are truly the etsy shopping queen!

This little exchange is a reminder of how literal kids are…and what a thinker Carson is. Fun to hear of the day-to-day goings on at your house. (By the way, your placement of the sign sets it off and makes it look even better than on the post picture!)
