Decorating Style

August 13, 2008 by dailygnome 3 Comments

A long time ago I went through a Shabby Chic design phase. I’d crackle paint anything with a surface and all of my end tables and nightstands were vintage fruit crates in their previous lives. Over the years my style has evolved and changed. Then I married a man who’s far more Dwell. I’ve shed the shabby but like to think I held on to the chic.

I came across this fun design quiz via How About Orange.

My style turned out to be Family Mix. I “pull off the ‘nostalgic modern’ look to a T: fun, easy on the eye, and kids often love it too.”

I think that fits my style spot on. Take it for yourself here. Select the photos you like best in response to the questions.

Fun! I am ‘Classic Chic’ which apparently means I ‘combine period influences with clever solutions to the practicalities of day-to-day modern living.’

That was fun! I’m “Earth Mother”. I guess I can see that since the only colors in my living room and dining room are shades of brown πŸ™‚
