Yesterday’s Coffee Grounds and Leftover Beet Juice

April 12, 2009 by dailygnome 1 Comment

Inspired by what I saw here and here I decided to forgo the traditional dye this year and color our eggs naturally. Using frozen blueberries, coffee grounds and the juice from the beets we canned last fall I created these beauties. Love the muted color. Maybe because they remind me of my all time favorite Easter candy. Which sadly, Target had sold out of this year by the time I arrived. Here’s hoping the Easter Bunny brought me some of these little pieces of heaven.

Happy Easter everyone!
