I received these half dozen beauties from a friend at book club last week. Her neighbor’s chickens laid a surplus and I was happy to accept the offering. Debating whether to crack them open for breakfast this week or save for Easter dying and decor. In the meantime I’ll just admire their natural color.
eat 'em fresh! we had some home grown eggs last month from aaron's parents' friend (our councilman, actually) and they were soooooo good scrambled up.
Couldn't wait – had two in a scramble today! Delicious.
Looks like the color is varied enough to be automatic Easter eggs anyway–no dye required.
