Sick Days

February 1, 2007 by dailygnome 2 Comments

Bubs has had a rough week. Just when he started figuring out the whole crawling thing, he misstepped and face planted onto the hardwood floor, resulting in his first bloody nose (something tells me it won’t be his last 🙂

Over the weekend he started coming down with a cold, followed by a deep rattle in his lungs. Three days later the poor little guy’s nose has been rubbed raw. Every time he sees me approach holding one of his cloth diapers, he’s learned to quickly fake left, fake right, tuck and roll in an effort to avoid any possible contact. His adroitness is getting impressive.

Jas and I have been fighting the bug as well, so we’re all quite miserable to be around. It sure makes me miss the days when I could call in sick and pull the covers over my head, only to emerge sometime mid-afternoon, collapse on the couch and watch Oprah. Not for another 20 years…
