Missing My Sis

June 30, 2010 by dailygnome 2 Comments

My sis boarded a plane for Virginia early this morning. Homeward bound back to her boys. We spent a wonderful {sunny!} long weekend together. A road trip, a stunning wedding overlooking the gorge and Mt. Hood {reminding me we must get out of the city more often}, a mother-daughter spa day, and quality time with her niece and nephew. She gave Hadley her first mani-pedi {pink, please} and listened to Carson’s many songs {multiple times}.

When Carson stumbled out of bed today he reminded me {over blueberry muffins she left as a breakfast treat}, Aunt Anita is on an airplane now. I miss her and she’s missing me. But in 20 days she’ll be back. And she’s bringing Parker and Luke. And I think their dad, too.

Counting the days.

Oh, I know all too well that sad, quiet, lonely feeling right after an out-of-town family or friend leaves.I'm glad Carson was around to focus on the positive side of things. Sounds like an awesome weekend.

Tell Carson I am missing him. I love that picture of us. I miss you too, sis. Wonderful memories…I am counting the days to making more of them.
Hugs and kisses to Hadley and Carson from Aunt Anita.
