We awoke early in order to catch the start of the New York City Marathon. Grandpa was running again this year and they were broadcasting the race live online. Unfortunately due to technical difficulties we weren’t able to see pictures of Ron at his splits, but we did have the chance to “Run With Lance” for a few miles. Carson was captivated and cheered the runners on along with the rest of NYC.
After a call from Grandpa at the finish line (Congratulations, another 26.2 under the belt!), we all felt motivated and headed out the door for a soggy afternoon run. Now that The Gnome is old enough to ride in the jogging stroller, there is no excuse for us not to hit the pavement. I turned in after 5, but Jason was very diligent sticking to his training schedule – running a full 10 miles with Carson along for the ride. Grandpa would be very proud.
Way to go dad! Can’t wait to join you in S.C. in February.
Carson,
Grandpa felt your support – never would have finished without it.
Now you can focus on helping your mom and dad get ready for the SC run.
Just a hint between us guys, tell them you want them to train more often so you get more rides in the park.
Love,
Papa
You’re going jogging! Or, I think the ‘J’ is silent, so “yogging.” Sounds pretty wild. Apparently, you just run!
