Hitting The Trail

April 20, 2009 by dailygnome 3 Comments

Last year she spent her trail time asleep in the Moby. This year, a new perspective. From way up high. Bursting with excitement that could not be contained. Released through high pitched giggles and bobbing head. Trail head, switchbacks, waterfalls, home stretch. Legs kicking all the way.

Thinking we’ll be hitting the trails a lot this season.

How does Carson do while hiking? Nathan can only walk about a quarter of a mile before he gets tired out. And of course, he won’t sit in a stroller anymore, so I figure we’ll be able to get back to real hiking when he’s about, oh, maybe 10. I’m convinced hiking is one of those areas where it’s actually easier when they’re babies!

MJ – Fortunately Carson will still tolerate the jogger (for now). And when he walks we know we’re just in for a slow leisurely stroll:) Or if it’s an easy trail he’ll ride on Jason’s shoulders.

I had the same comment/question as MaryJo…what does Carson do?? Where did you guys go? Forest Park? What fun! We’d love to join you for a family hike some time – and bring some of those yummy bagels for a snack! (see you this afternoon…)
