This week we celebrated our third annual HarvestFest in the backyard. In reality it’s simply eating Thanksgiving dinner outdoors, which for practical reasons is the best option in our little bungalow, but over the years it’s turned into a unique and festive celebration deserving of its own name. This year was extra special as Julie and Aaron flew up from LA to join in the festivities. Carson was never deprived of attention surrounded by so many Aunts, Uncles and Grandparents.
Although there was a chill in the air and rain coming down for part of the afternoon, we all stayed toasty warm and dry thanks to the carport and outdoor heaters. Everyone brought something to the table and each dish was delicious. Carson swirled tableside in his ExerSaucer throughout the meal, and although his first tooth broke through this week, he’ll have to wait until next year to sample his dad’s honey glazed and barbecue turkey. After a brief intermission, the feasting resumed with Grandma Petrie’s pumpkin and pecan pies and the evening concluded with a competitive round of Celebrity Bowl. So much to be thankful for this year!
Looks like you put together a very nice meal & the setting was great
