Butterflies and Cupcakes

August 11, 2009 by dailygnome 1 Comment

My sister-in-law and husband are always up to exciting endeavors. Traveling overseas. Hosting movie nights in their back yard. Rather than having a mundane dinner party or celebrating at a restaurant, Julie contacted LA Conservation Corps, rounded up a group of friends (aka volunteers) and painted a mural at a local elementary school to celebrate her birthday. Giving back. Fun with friends. Sunflowers and butterflies. Making the community you live in a more beautiful place. I can’t think of a better way to ring in the big 3-0.
