For his birthday my parents gave Carson tickets to see Thomas the Tank Engine Train when it came to Hood River this past weekend. We made the mistake of breaking the news to him a little early and from Thursday on it was all he could talk about. He was so excited all the words in his head kept trying to come out of his mouth at the same time.
He loved the train ride (especially sitting on Papa’s lap), got a bit creeped out by the costumed train conductor in the top hat, and had a blast shaking maracas and dancing a jig in front of the entertainment stage. The most amazing feat of the day? We managed to escape without a single purchase of a Thomas shirt, hat, video, toothbrush, flip-flop, piñata or dinnerware set. That was no easy task.
What a fun day! I’m impressed that you left empty handed. Train salesmen can be very pushy. Carson looks giddy. Looking forward to seeing your crew in August.
