Carson has developed an addiction to trains. Day and night it’s all he can think about. Choo-Choo is the first word out of his mouth each morning and the last to pass his lips before he falls asleep, while clutching the stuffed train his great grandpa gave him.
It’s gotten to the point where I need to hide anything with wheels in his room before he goes to sleep or he’ll call out to the trains, reach through the crib slats and NOT LET IT GO.
When there are no trains in sight he’ll pretend that what he sees are trains. Grocery Carts, Strollers, Garbage Trucks…all trains.
For Christmas he received a Thomas engine and track from Uncle Nate and Amanda and a wooden set from my parents. Sometimes he’ll use the tracks but most of the time he likes to create his own route. Across the piano keys, up and down our legs, over the couch, then stockpile them all onto Madi’s bed, whether she happens to be sleeping on it or not.
