Carson’s good friend Charlie gave him Shel Silverstein’s A Light In The Attic for his birthday. Bedtime staples Go Dog Go! and Make Way For Ducklings have been replaced by Mr. Smeds and Mr. Spats and the Polar Bear in the Frigidaire.
He can’t get enough of the silliness and I love revisiting the imaginative world where you can make a Moon-Catchin’ Net and swing through the sky on a star.
Piece of trivia I’ve been carrying around for years and finally get the chance to use:
Aside from being an American poet Shel Silverstein was a Grammy award winning songwriter and penned the Johnny Cash song A Boy Named Sue as well as this sing along classic.

Go Dog Go was getting a little old, but we used to not have to answer questions like, “Where did his knees go?”
So fabulous! Maybe it's time we actually picked up a copy for ourselves or better yet – get my parents to dig out my old copy!! Thanks for sharing!
