Our Little Goldilocks

May 22, 2008 by dailygnome 1 Comment

There are four different colored chairs at our kitchen table and Carson likes to try out each one throughout the day. He’ll climb onto the Black Chair but then eye the Green Chair across the table and decide it holds more appeal. He’ll sit down for lunch in the Yellow Chair while calling out enthusiastically, “Yellow Chair, Yellow Chair!” eat half his sandwich and switch over to the Red Chair for his fruit and veggie course. Lately he’s been assigning us seats as well. “Mama, Red Chair?” Sometimes I’ll act confused, circle the table and sit down in the Black Chair. Then he’ll look at me like I’m just being silly and point to my assigned seat.
