Go Big Red!

June 19, 2008 by dailygnome Leave a Comment

There is no denying our family has Nebraska and the Cornhuskers embedded in our roots. When I was born in Lincoln the hospital had a tradition of dressing up all the newborns in red and white outfits during football season; My dad has been a loyal Cornhusker fan since his days working at the University of Nebraska. Jason’s parents lived in Lincoln during the 70s and many of his aunts, uncles and grandparents continue to proudly call the Cornhusker state home.

We found this retro sweatshirt from the 71 National Championship while going through old clothes for Carson’s dress-up bin. I think it originally belonged to my sister, but it’s now become a wardrobe staple for Carson more than 35 years later. Go Big Red!
