Dog

February 21, 2008 by dailygnome 1 Comment

A Madi-Girl post is long overdue and as an important part of our family she deserves some blog time.

Carson hasn’t acknowledged that she has a name even though we always refer to her as Madi or Madi-Girl (and StinkerDog when she has gas). As far as Carson is concerned her name is Dog. He’ll point to various objects or people in photographs identifying them by name, then point a finger at Madi and say “Dog.” When we leave the house he’ll wave a hand and call out, “Bye, Dog!” as we pull out of the driveway and Madi watches us from the front window.

I know he knows her name because when I ask him where Madi is he’ll point at her. But then he’ll turn to me and give me a heads up that her name is actually Dog.
