Fall has arrived. And with it, the rain. I splashed around in my rain boots the entire weekend, aside from Saturday night when Jason and I hired our first official babysitter, kissed the kids goodbye and left them with a sweet girl we just met for a night on the town (a local preschool teacher, fresh out of college with a degree in children’s studies). Thanks, SitterCity. After four years, I don’t know what took us this long. Date night has returned.
On Saturday we attended the annual Apple Tasting at Portland Nursery and discovered Ambrosia is my new favorite. A touch of honey with just the right amount of tart. Carson favored the tiny round pears.
Pumpkin carving, Halloween preparations, chilly mornings and leaves beginning to fall down like ornaments. Hello, October. I’m sure glad you’re here.
If you ever want to plan a double date night…we're in!!
I'm still a fan of honey crisp.
Missed the Apple Festival this time around. I agree- October is my favorite time of the year.
