Inspired, I decided to create my own list…
- I’ve never been able to do a cartwheel.
- I’ve been drinking coffee almost every day since I was 15.
- I can roll my tongue into to shape of a flower.
- I love taking hot baths.
- I’m a bit compulsive about rearranging the furniture.
- Growing up I wanted to be a news reporter.
- I took violin lessons from age three to eleven.
- I took three years of piano lessons.
- I am not musically talented.
- I get cold very easily.
- In high school I was editor of the yearbook.
- I always wanted my name to be spelled Amiee.
- Five years ago I ran a 50k on the Pacific Crest Trail.
- In high school I failed biology and step aerobics while acing AP English in the same semester.
- Ten years ago I was in a Nike snowboarding commercial.
- I designed my first web page in 1996.
- When I was 11 I sliced my Achilles tendon on a toboggan brake.
- I was always the fastest kid in my class until the toboggan incident.
- The first concert I ever went to was The Bangles.
- My first crush was on a boy named Bart.
- Growing up I watched a lot of Little House on the Prairie. Whenever an episode comes on I always know which one it is within a few seconds.
- My first pedicure was for my wedding.
- I had a huge crush on George Stephanopoulos during the 1992 Clinton campaign.
- I have a fear of open water.
- When I was a senior in high school I took a woodshop class. I made a lot of boxes.
- When I was in fourth grade I wore legwarmers almost every day.
- The first time I saw my husband he was still in the womb.
- The second time I saw him I kicked him out of my apartment (along with his freshmen buddies).
- The third time I met him and I thought I just might marry him.
- My son is missing a kidney.
- In middle school I covered an entire wall of my bedroom with black and white Guess by Marciano and United Colors of Benetton ads and pictures of Marilyn Monroe.
- I was in the Dave Sweeney Christmas Special in 1983.
- I’ve never owned a Barbie doll.
- On flights I always order tomato juice.
- I get really irritated when people are late and don’t call.
- My dad is a pastor.
- In third grade I used to skip Girl Scouts with my friend Monica and walk to her house. Two hours later I’d walk back to be picked up.
- Tulips are my all time favorite flower.
- When I was five people thought I was a boy.
- I’m enjoying my 30s more than my 20s.
- I always cry during the last scene of It’s A Wonderful Life.
- When I was in first grade I went to a speech therapist because I had trouble pronouncing my Rs.
- I have a tiny chip in my front tooth.
- I don’t have any tattoos.
- I can’t whistle.
- I misspelled the word listen in the the second grade spelling bee and it took me a long time to get over it.
- In 2002 I placed first in the Portland Urban Challenge and went to the nationals in Vegas.
- I used to be a bit of a slob. Now I like things really clean.
- I’m not a very organized person but I try really hard.
- I love looking at pictures of very organized spaces.
- I don’t know how to use PowerPoint.
- Somewhere around 26 I turned into a morning person.
- I always close the shower curtain. Sometimes at other people’s houses.
- I played soccer through my sophomore year in college.
- I have a yellow belt in Tae Kwon Do.
- I usually get a little sad after the holidays.
- When I was 17 I was fired as a telemarketer from Kirby Carpet Cleaning.
- My favorite food is Mexican.
- I wish they would bring back the Marathon candy bar.
- I can still remember my phone number from when I was five.
- I’ve lived in two countries, four states, seven cities and nineteen houses/apartments.
- The house I live in now is the longest I’ve ever lived anywhere.
- When I was 15 I got a spiral perm every three months and carried a can of Aqua Net in my backpack. I cringe when I see pictures.
- I’m the youngest of three children.
- My husband is the oldest of three children.
- After college I road tripped from Chicago to Eugene with my roommate and then waited tables on the coast for the summer.
- I always wanted to be a flower girl but never was (maybe because of #39)
- I love to get the mail.
- I don’t like ice in my drinks unless it is crushed.
- I can’t figure out how to knit.
- Artichokes are my favorite vegetable. I love them steamed up, then finished on the grill.
- I don’t cook very often because my husband usually does.
- My son’s laugh is my favorite sound in the world.
- I love listening to This American Life on Sunday mornings.
- I haven’t learned how to properly apply eye shadow so I never wear it.
- Three is my favorite number.
- I listen to John Denver when I’m feeling nostalgic.
- I can’t stand Red Delicious apples. So mushy.
- I think Friday Night Lights is one of the best shows on TV. I wish more people would watch it.
- I love getting up really early and working before anyone else wakes up.
- I have really bad handwriting.
- I love old Volvos.
- When I was a kid I begged my dad to let me wash the windows whenever we stopped for gas and loved the smell of gasoline.
- I sometimes worry about terrible things happening.
- In college I joined a sorority.
- I’m a Scorpio.
- I don’t think I’ll ever go on a cruise ship.
- I make the bed every morning.
- When I was 21 I lived in Germany.
- Every winter I usually manage to lose at least one glove.
- When I was eight I couldn’t get enough of Electric Avenue.
- I forget to water my house plants.
- I have to really concentrate to remember people’s names.
- Smelling a new magazine makes me happy.
- Growing up we never were allowed to eat sugar cereal. Only Puffed Rice, Puffed Wheat, Cheerios and Grape Nuts. Once my mom went back to work she bought us Life. It was a big treat.
- My first car was a 1985 Honda Accord.
- I worked four jobs and an internship the summer I bought my first car.
- One job was as a house cleaner and I wasn’t very good.
- I have a bad habit of swallowing my gum.
- I like making lists.
22 – made me laugh! maybe because I never had it done, not even for my own wedding
27,28,29 – what a beautiful love story, sort of like “When Harry met Sally” – love this movie
100 – I do them all the time – love them 2

we have more in common than I even knew about…
also, I remember being your personal “key finder” when we worked together – that was back before your organizational skills kicked in. 🙂

Because of #100, I had to make a list all of our similarities: 1, 5, 9, 22, 35, 42, 43, 44, 46 (baby), 50, 51, 52, 58, 68, 75, 78, 80, 82, 86, 93, 100. Glad to know someone else in the world like me! I enjoy your blog.
