Our long-awaited Dining Room Table is due to arrive at the end of the week. The chairs were delivered a few days ago (combined with our old kitchen chairs, there is plenty of seating if you don’t mind holding your plate in your lap). While I’m super excited to eat around a big table, it will require dismantling a freight engine, passenger cars, and a caboose.
Before The Furniture Returned
Left up to them, the furniture would have stayed in the carport and the living room converted to a permanent dance studio:
Bubblefest
I brought these bubbles back from Virginia and we’ve been hosting afternoon BubbleFests. It involves music, frolicking, lots of giggles, oodles of bubbles and jumping on our bed. I bend the rules with the understanding that jumping is only allowed when bubbles are present.
Mud Bowl
Some friends of ours host a football game each year at a local park. This past Saturday was the third annual Mud Bowl and unlike previous years the sky was blue and the ground was dry. I spent the majority of the game on the sidelines wrangling Carson and Hadley (and sipping hot cocoa) but did manage to sub in for a few plays. Although not quite enough playing time to justify the fact I’m still feeling sore on Wednesday.
